Business intelligence for the circular economy of waste and textile products
lunes, 09 de junio de 2025
A network of 1,200 sensorized containers in the Basque Country collects textile and other waste, supported by a traceable fleet. Two treatment plants (Bizkaia and Valencia) and transfer centres (Vitoria and Gipuzkoa) ensure traceability of output flows (reuse, recycling, recovery). Additionally, 20 second-hand clothing stores operate with digital points of sale.
HOW COULD WE...?
We use unstructured information storage systems, and currently are in the process of implementing ERP (Microsoft Business Central). We also use FACTORIAL as our human resources application. We need to merge all business information (collection, processing, stores, personnel, support for social and labour market integration) for monitoring and decision-making regarding the traceability of all products and their use, with the support of artificial intelligence assistants to detect faults and possible process optimizations.
